Sunday Meditation Hour
Sundays 11:00 to noon MST
at the Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute, 301-B N. Longfellow Ave, Tucson AZ and Facebook.com/AwamTBI/Live
We continue practicing from our Awam Practice Manual with preliminary practices, Rigpa Guru Yoga, meditation, a commentary on the practice, and closing prayers. Currently we are also focused on practice and commentary on one of the 15 yidam practices in our manual. (Practice Manual copies are available on our Resources and Links page.)
The Buddha considered group practice to be an essential part of basic dharma practice. The effects are multiplied by the number of participants. You may join us in-person or on FaceBook!
The recorded videos are also available on Facebook.com/AwamTBI/Live for 30 days. FREE
Wednesday Mindfulness Practice
Wednesdays at 6pm MST (about 30-40 minutes) at the Awam Tibetan Buddhist Institute,
301-B N. Longfellow Ave, Tucson AZ (not available on Facebook Live)
Mindfulness practices were a critical point of the Buddha's practice and teachings to increase our commitment and calm our mind. We are continuing core practices with Q&A at the end. Mindfulness practices help increase our mindfulness of body, speech, and mind throughout the day, and facilitate our other Vajrayana practices. Our current practice is focused on the Four Jhanas or Dhyanas. We welcome anyone interested in learning to join us. FREE
